Laser cut carousel whirlygig

This suggestion came from my parents, who had a vintage carousel whirlygig as decoration in their home since I was a kid. After all the laser cutting I've been doing recently, they suggested I recreate the Historic Carousel and Museum in Albany with laser cutouts of the animals they feature. It wasn't difficult to set up the design, and once it was cut it was only a matter of printing the animal designs onto the pieces.


Here's how the pieces looked before I printed the art onto the shapes:


I used a Blender Pen to transfer the image from a regular piece of printer paper (printed on a laser printer, NOT ink-jet) directly onto the wood. Here's some detail after I printed onto the wood:






Here's a video of how it looks, maybe I can even take this to the real Albany carousel and see if they'd like to sell these in their gift shop, haha.
